Camping Tips For Food Safety

Camping tips for food safety is essential for for a successful camping or backpacking trip. Since you will not have easy access to clean water it is recommended that you bring hand sanitizer bottles, sprays or wipes. Bacteria is something most people do not think of when camping so unless you can keep your coolers iced up at all times then I would plan on bringing prepackaged food for the majority of your camping trip.



When following these basic camping tips for food safety your camping or backpacking trip will be much more safe as well as enjoyable. We like to cook steaks or burgers on the first night of camping while the coolers are iced up and maybe cook hot dogs and lunch meat sandwiches on the second day and night. After that if we do not have access to more ice then we use our dry prepackaged food.
